(2) how many temperature and analytical instrument makers there are in the United Kingdom; and whether any one company holds a monopoly position;
(3) how many medical instrument makers there are in the United Kingdom; and whether any one company holds a monopoly position.
§ Mr. MeacherIn the industrial and process control sector of the instrument industry there are several hundred companies, and a similar number in the electronic and scientific instruments sector which covers temperature and analytical equipment. There are about 30 medical instrument makers. The larger companies may be active in two or more of these sectors. No company has a monopoly position.
