Mr. George Gardiner

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will use the resources of his Department to help resolve the dispute at HMSO involving SOGAT, the NGA and the ETU which is delaying the printing of telephone directories.

The Minister of State, Civil Service Department and I have met representatives of the National Graphical Association and the Society of Graphical and Allied Trades and I have chaired a meeting between the two unions. I am arranging further discussions with all concerned.
