§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Industry if, in view of the Government's 24.56 per cent. holding in the George Kent Instruments Company, he will make a statement on their policy 348W towards the bid by the Swiss company, Brown Boveri, to acquire effective majority control through the formation of two new companies, Brown Boveri Kent and Scientific and Medical Instruments, by the investment of £6 million in the former.
