§ Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will arrange to display in all post offices the current local position regarding the payment of all the new pension, insurance and supplementary benefits, so that individuals will know exactly when they ought to receive the extra allowances due from 22nd July.
§ Mrs. CastleI have already arranged for the issue of local Press notices and, where possible, for local radio broadcasts to give information to pensioners in those areas where a delay of more than seven days is likely. I have also arranged for suitable notices to be displayed where necessary in post offices giving the date by which all increases are expected to be paid.
