§ Q10. Mr. Spearingasked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement on his recent discussions with the Dutch Prime Minister.
§ The Prime MinisterI met Mr. den Uyl both at the meeting of the North Atlantic Council in Brussels on 26th June and at the meeting of the Socialist International held at Chequers on 29th and 30th June. While the details of these talks must remain confidential, there is a wide measure of agreement between the policies of the Netherlands and British Governments. We are glad to work with our Dutch friends in the many tasks we have in common with them, in NATO, the EEC and elsewhere.
