asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the opening statement of the British representative to the United Nations Conference Law of the Sea, made on June 20, is yet available in London, and whether they will place a copy in the Library.

LORD GORONWY-ROBERTS

The Permanent Leader of the British Delegation made no opening statement on June 20. The major speech setting out Britain's policy at the Conference was given on July 4 by the Minister of State for Foreign and Commonealth Affairs. A copy of this speech is being placed in the Library.
