§ Mr. Cordleasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will list the scales of pay for cleaners employed in hospitals by the National Health Service in each of the years 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970 and 1974.

Staff employed in London currently receive an additional London weighting of £2.40 per week. 3. Allowances of £2 per week under a threshold agreement are currently payable in addition. 4. The rates of pay quoted are female rates as the grade of cleaner does not appear in the Ancillary Staffs Council's male grades structure.
