HC Deb 16 July 1974 vol 877 cc100-1W
Q28. Mr. Hardy

asked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement upon his recent meeting with the Prime Minister of France.

The Prime Minister

I had a short discussion with Monsieur Chirac when I was in Brussels for the recent meeting of NATO Heads of Government. This provided a useful opportunity to hear each other's views on the subjects which concern both Governments at the present time. We discussed common economic problems and I took the opportunity of explaining to Monsieur Chirac the way we saw the renegotiation of our terms of membership of the EEC proceeding. Our talks also touched on bilateral matters, such as Concorde and the Channel Tunnel.
