§ Mr. John Evansasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he is yet able to make a statement on the cuts in defence expenditure which he proposes to make, at this year's prices, in the current financial year and in each of the next three years.
§ Mr. MasonThe reductions announced in December last year and March this year amounting to £262 million at this year's prices will be implemented in full. Decisions on expenditure levels for future years will be affected by the outcome of the defence review.
