asked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he will give consideration to the re-enactment of that section of the Development of Tourism Act to enable financial assistance to be given for hotel development in the development areas.

No. Hotel development in these areas remains eligible for consideration for assistance from the national tourist boards under Section 4 of the Development of Tourism Act 1969.
