asked the Secretary of State for Employment what discussions he has had with the trade union movement about the introduction of a worker director scheme.

There have been preliminary discussions with the TUC on industrial democracy. I understand that a final report on the subject is to be presented to this year's congress, and I shall be considering the timing of further discussions with the TUC after that.
