Arrangements are in hand to collate this type of information. I will write to the hon. Member when details are available.

Mr. Cormack

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) whether he will now zero rate for purposes of VAT the work of writers and musicians;

(2) whether he will now zero rate for purposes of VAT the work of living artists practising the visual arts;

(3) whether he will now zero rate for purposes of VAT tickets for theatrical and musical performances;

(4) whether he will now zero rate for purposes of VAT the acquisitions of public museums and art galleries in this country.

Dr. Gilbert

I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for Ipswich (Mr. Money) on 4th July.
