§ Mr. Moneyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will make available special grant funds for the purpose of maintaining and preserving plasterwork ceilings and other internal features of architectural and historical interest in theatres where such work is urgently and immediately required.
§ Mr. Charles R. MorrisGrants for historic buildings are by statute available for those of outstanding historic or architectural interest or for work which would enhance a conservation area. If work on a theatre is eligible within these categories an application would be considered in the light of advice from the Historic Buildings Council.
