HC Deb 04 July 1974 vol 876 c229W
52. Mr Hardy

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how much assistance he has given to horticulturists by way of oil subsidy; and what is the amount of any such subsidy provided to horticulturists in the other member States of the EEC.

Mr. Bishop

As my right hon. Friend said on 11th April, we estimate that the aid proposed for the United Kingdom will cost £7 million. Details of subsidies notified by member States up to 8th May 1974 are contained in a report on this subject by the Commission which is available in the Library of the House.

Mr Blaker

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what discussions he has had at the Council of Ministers of the EEC about subsidies on fuel oil for horticultural growers for the period after 31st December 1974.

Mr. Pearl

None.
