An estimate of numbers of households in Scotland with the specified range of income is not available. From the Family Expenditure Survey for 1972 it is estimated that 25 per cent. of households in Scotland had a household income at or below half the average household income for Great Britain. This percentage is 111 per cent. of the corresponding percentage for Great Britain as a whole.
