Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) what has been the number of male employees aged 15 years and over in June of each year since 1964 in Scotland; whether he will express these figures as a percentage of the number of males aged 15 years and over in Scotland; and whether he will express the male activity rate in Scotland in each year as a percentage relative to the male activity rate throughout Great Britain;

(2) what has been the number of female employees aged 15 years and over in June of each year since 1964 in Scot

The latest available information, from the Census of Population held in April 1966 is as follows:

land; whether he will express these figures as a percentage of the number of females aged 15 years and over in Scotland; and whether he will express the female activity rate for Scotland in each year as a percentage relative to the female activity rate throughout Great Britain.
