§ 44. Rear-Admiral Morgan-Gilesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what consideration he has given to the results of the NATO summit meeting recently held in Ottawa.
§ Mr. HattersleyAt their meeting in Ottawa on the 18th and 19th of June, allied Foreign Ministers celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Alliance and adopted a declaration reaffirming their common commitments under the North Atlantic Treaty. The declaration was subsequently signed in Brussels by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister, and by other allied Heads of Government. The Foreign Ministers also had valuable discussions on a wide range of102W problems of current concern. We are very satisfied with these results.
Copies of the Ottawa Declaration on Atlantic Relations and of the communiqué issued after the Foreign Ministers' meeting have been placed in the Library of the House.
