§ Mr. Adam Butlerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps she is taking to resolve the industrial action being undertaken by the union representing medical physics technicians in support of their claim for earnings parity with medical laboratory assistants, in view of the risks to life involved to sufferers from chronic kidney failure.
§ Dr. OwenAt my invitation the two sides of the Whitley Council resumed negotiations on 7th June over a revaluation of the work of medical physics technicians. I am closely watching developments in the Whitley Council and the effects on services of industrial action.
