asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many people in Scotland are currently in receipt of supplementary benefit, family income supplement, and supplementary pension.

Mr. O'Malley

On 23rd April 1974, 294,644 people in Scotland were receiving regular weekly payments of supplementary benefit. Of these payments, 116,190 were supplementary allowances and 178,454 were supplementary pensions. As at the end of April about 11,000 families in Scotland were receiving family income supplement.
