§ Mr. MeacherThe 1962 treaty between the United Kingdom and French Governments for the development and production of Concorde was published as a White Paper (Cmnd 1916) in January 1973. As my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State said in reply to the hon. Member for Newbury (Mr. McNair-Wilson) on 22nd May, the correspondence which, as the Minister then responsible for Concorde, he had in 1968 with M. Chamant, the then French Minister for Transport, was a confidential exchange between the two Governments.—[Vol. 874, c.205.]
