HC Deb 02 July 1974 vol 876 c150W
Mr. Gwilym Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if she will initiate a study into the quality of male and female garments sold by boutiques and ask the Price Commission to investigate the price charged at such boutiques.

Mr. MacLennan

I have no information on which to base a study of the quality of garments sold by boutiques nor to suggest that their prices need to be investigated. If my hon. Friend will let me have details of any case where he thinks that the Price Code is being infringed, I will gladly refer the matter to the Price Commission.
