asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will cause to be drafted an explanatory memorandum of all additional allowances and grants to which any retirement pensioner might be entitled as well as the basic pension which would be annexed to all pension books.

Mr. O'Malley

An amended version of retirement pension order book notes is already in preparation. The books at present carry information about supplementary pensions and National Health Service charges and advice on how to get in touch with local health and welfare services. From early 1975, additional material will be incorporated about relief from prescription charges; rent allowances and rebates, and rate rebates; with a more detailed listing of local health and welfare services.
