HC Deb 01 July 1974 vol 876 c62W
Mr. Taverne

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representation he has received from the Road Haulage Association about the need for a bypass round Lincoln; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Carmichael

The Road Haulage Association has drawn my attention to a number of road schemes, including a scheme for a bypass round Lincoln which it thinks should be given greater priority in the road programme. A land use transportation study on the city road network has been carried out jointly by the Department and Lincoln City Council, and its outcome is being considered.
