asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will take steps to ensure greater protection for historic landscapes, parks, and gardens, following the Twentieth Report of the Historic Buildings Council for England.

Yes. The Government are supporting the Town and Country Amenities Bill which would require special publicity for development affecting the setting of listed buildings
