HC Deb 01 July 1974 vol 876 c50W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many fishery cruisers are now operating in the Firth of Clyde; and what attention is being given to the prevention of illegal trawling within the Clyde area three-mile limit.

Mr. William Ross

The Firth of Clyde is part of a patrol area extending from the Minch to the Solway which is normally covered by three cruisers based on Greenock. The attention devoted to the firth depends on operational factors and on what is needed elsewhere in the patrol area.
