asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he now expects to make a final decision on the siting of the new drilling technology centre.

Mr. William Ross

As indicated by my hon. Friend the Minister of State during the debate on 2nd April, the centre will be in Scotland. I understand that the Manpower Services Commission expects to make a recommendation shortly to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment as regards the exact location.
