asked the Minister for Energy with what countries the Government are negotiating agreements for the purchase of crude oil and/or petroleum products in return for the sale of British goods and manufactures.

Apart from the arrangements with Iran which were described by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry on 28th January, we are negotiating no such agreements.—[Vol. 868, c. 22–5.]
