§ Mr. Skeetasked the Minister for Energy what was the price of naphtha on 1st January 1973 and on the most recent date for which a price is available; and what additional quantities of the petrochemical feedstock his Department has been able to procure from refineries abroad.
§ Mr. EmeryIn answer to a Question by my hon. Friend on 20th December 1973 it was explained that most naphtha is bought on contract and there is wide variation in prices quoted for marginal supplies. The oil and chemical companies, not the Department of Energy, procure petrochemical feedstock.—[Vol. 866, c.364.]
