asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how the number of beef cattle in the country at the latest available date compares with the number two years earlier.

At the September 1973 sample livestock inquiry the national beef breeding herd had increased by 24.7 per cent. since the corresponding date two years earlier.
