§ Mr. Robert Cookeasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in the interests of fuel economy during the summer holiday season of 1974, he will attempt to increase on a temporary basis the number of suitable places at which caravans can be parked for short periods to eliminate wasted miles travelled in search of a site.
§ Mr. Graham PageNo. Such temporary sites would lack the necessary basic amenities and could well conflict with environmental and other planning considerations. I am not in any case satisfied that fuel savings would in fact be achieved by this means.
