§ Sir Geoffrey HoweThe total number of qualified inspectors serving at the end of 1973 in the 17 weights and measures authorities within the geographical counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire, was 117; in addition they employ a slightly greater number of supporting staff, including trainee inspectors and authorised officers. The size of the establishment of each authority is its own responsibility.
