HC Deb 06 February 1974 vol 868 c317W
31. Mr. Arthur Jones

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, following the publication of the Dobry interim report on planning procedures, he is proposing to take steps to implement any of its recommendations.

36. Mr. Sydney Chapman

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the Dobry Interim Report on Review of the Development Control System.

61. Mr. Evelyn King

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has now studied the interim Dobry Report on the planning control system; if he proposes to introduce legislation; what administrative measures can be taken as a matter of urgency without legislation; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Rippon

This interim report is primarily a consultation document. Nevertheless action on some of the recommendations can be initiated now; some experimental action has already been put in train. I will consider the possibility of introducing some amendments arising from the report at a later stage of the Housing and Planning Bill.
