asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) what progress has been reported to him on the identifying of wines produced in Common Market countries which are similar to those produced in Cyprus;

(2) what is the estimated current subsidy on wines produced in Common Market countries similar in type to wines produced in Cyprus; and what is the duction, and they have consisted largely of types for which there is not a strong demand on the home market. Exports of beef have declined in recent months because of lower cattle prices on the Continent; and it is likely that even if licences had not been suspended exports of lives cattle would also have declined.
