§ Dame Joan Vickersasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in regard to health inspectors of meat, if he will oppose proposals in the EEC that public health inspectors might be replaced in regard to this work by veterinary surgeons.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartThere are at present no EEC proposals concerning the inspection of red meat for the home market. If proposals were made they would be considered on their merits. Interested organisations, including the Association of Public Health Inspectors, would be consulted.
