Mr. Cyril Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) what steps the Government have taken, since 27th Nov- ember 1974, to control the level of imports of Turkish and Greek yarns into the United Kingdom;

(2) what steps Her Majesty's Government are taking to prevent the dumping of textile yarns in this country;

(3) what steps the Government are taking, and have taken since 29th November, to assist the Lancashire textile industry in its present problems;

(4) what action the Government are taking on the case presented to them on 12th November by the British Textile Confederation about the import of foreign cotton yarns into the United Kindom.
