§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy how many orders for production platforms required for use in the British north North Sea basin have now been place in (a) Scandinavia, (b) France and (c) the Netherlands.
§ Mr. John SmithFour of the orders have been placed in Scandinavia, four in France and one in the Netherlands. Three of these platforms are required to develop the Frigg gas field which lies in both the United Kingdom and Norwegian sectors. A further platform is being built partly in the United Kingdom and partly in France.
