asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the maximum period for which an unemployed married man with a wife and three children will receive income tax rebates, assuming gross weekly earnings of (a) £20, (b) £25, (c) £30, (d) £35, (e) £40, (f) £45, (g) £50, (h) £55 and (i) £60.

The weekly rate of income tax rebate in 1974–75 for a married man with three children under 11 is approximately £885. The figures are:
