§ Mr. Wallasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the progress and proposed date of completion of the Hull-Beverley trunk road and associated Beverley South-West Bypass.
§ Mr. CarmichaelDraft proposals for the route of the Beverley South-Western Bypass were published on 22nd November 1974. The period for objections expires on 24th February 1975. The date upon which work can begin will depend on the satisfactory completion of the statutory procedures and the availability of funds at the appropriate time. The dualling of the A. 1079, which is at present being carried out to the south of the proposed bypass, is the responsibility of Humberside County Council. This work is virtually complete.
