HC Deb 20 December 1974 vol 883 c746W
Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many day nurseries there are in Wales; and if he will list them.

Mr. John Morris

The only information available centrally is of day nurseries classified as such by local authority social service departments. As at 31st March 1974 there were 10 such day nurseries in Wales—seven in Glamorgan and three in Newport. There are also a number of private establishments providing day-care facilities of a similar nature.
