HC Deb 19 December 1974 vol 883 c522W
Mr. Snape

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if she will make an order compelling public houses to display price lists.

Mr. Maclennan

I can see the advantage of doing this but there would also be certain problems to be resolved, and I am considering the next steps. I am awaiting the further views of the West Midlands Consumer Protection Department, which has expressed concern about prices charged.
