§ Dr. OwenIn 1973–74, the latest year for which figures are available, administrative expenditure by hospital and practitioner services authorities was approximately £98.7 million, representing 4.5 per cent. of total expenditure. For community health and school health services, which then were the responsibility of local authorities, administrative expenditure 551W was about £11 million or 5 per cent. of total expenditure.
