§ Dr. OwenInformation about costs of individual community homes, or about community homes for boys and for girls separately, is not available centrally. It is estimated that the annual cost per child excluding administration costs in residential accommodation for children in care, the greater part of which is in community homes, will be about £2,000 in 1975–76 in England and Wales.
