HC Deb 19 December 1974 vol 883 c590W
Mr. Bradford

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, in the absence of legislation comparable to that in Great Britain, whether he will introduce legislation in Northern Ireland which will enable leasehold purchasers to redeem their leasehold and become freehold purchasers.

Mr. Concannon

The Leasehold (Enlargement and Extension) Act (Northern Ireland) 1971 enables the lessees of certain premises held on long leases to purchase the fee simple interest in their land. I have no plans for further legislation in this field.
