HC Deb 16 December 1974 vol 883 c312W
Mr. Molloy

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what replies have been sent to the National Society for the Abolition of Factory Farming regarding his policy towards the sale of British bloodstock horses to European butchers for slaughter and sale for human consumption.

Mr. Strang

The society was informed on 11th December that exports of horses to Europe for slaughter were not permitted and that there was no evidence that such exports had occurred.
