asked the Secretary of State for Energy what commercial contracts exist between Her Majesty's Government and the Government of the Republic of South Africa involving exchange of knowledge and manpower in the field of atomic energy and research.

None. The UKAEA however has an agreement with the South African Atomic Energy Board under which the UKAEA undertakes to offer consultancy services on commercial terms in the reactor safety field if required to do so by the board.
