HC Deb 13 December 1974 vol 883 cc295-6W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the relationship between the current review of doctors' and dentists' remuneration by the committee formerly chaired by Lord Halsbury, and the substantive review which is now to be carried out in April 1975.

Dr. Owen

These reviews are quite distinct. The current claim to which I assume the hon. Member is referring is for interim pay increases effective this year. The substantive review which I understand the Doctors' and Dentists' Review Body will shortly be starting will be of pay levels effective from April next year.
