§ Mr. JohnIn the 12 months ending 30th September 1974 the total wage bill including overtime and allowances for Maldivian locally entered civilians employed on the island of Gan was £288,796. This sum

§ Mr. JohnThe permanent staff at RAF Locking comprises 342 Service personnel and 291 civilian personnel, and there are 501 Service personnel currently undergoing training there. The implications in the support field of the major policy decisions announced on 3rd December by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence are still being examined and it is impossible at this stage to tell how RAF Locking will be affected. I am unable therefore to say what the future requirement for civilian personnel at the station will be.
