asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether, under the defence review, it is proposed to retain in service any of the Belfast heavy-lift transport aircraft.

Mr. John

As stated in my reply to the right hon. Member for Worcester (Mr. Walker) on 9th December—[Vol. 883, c. 75.]—the final size and composition of the RAF transport force must await the outcome of the consultations now taking place.

asked the Secretary of State for Defence which transport aircraft are to be affected by the proposed defence review.
