Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT the number of entry certificate officers employed in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, respectively, in each of the last three years.

The figures below show the authorised establishment for December in each year:

Note: These figures do not include temporary reinforcements such as the task force of three entry clearance officers despatched to Islamabad in November 1973 for a period of six months who were exclusively employed in the reduction of the backlog of case reports.
