§ Dr. OwenEleven have been appointed and all will have met by mid-January 1975. The regional health authority intends to appoint the remaining 11 councils as soon as the local authorities and voluntary organisations have completed their nominations for membership.
§ 41. Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will convene a conference of chairmen of community health councils in England and Wales.
§ Mrs. CastleIt is too early to hold such a conference as not all the chairmen have yet been appointed, but it is my intention to hold a conference of chairmen of English community health councils as soon as appropriate. In the meantime, our two national advisers on community health councils are holding meetings with groups of chairmen and members throughout the country and are in close contact with me and officers of my Department. Arrangements in Wales are a matter for my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
